Brunchin’ With My Girls at Bake’N Bacon
It’s been way too long since I’ve seen my girls. Every time we link up, it’s like no time has passed—and that’s my favorite kind of friendship. We love a good brunch moment, and this time one of my girlfriends made reservations at Bake’N Bacon in Philly.
Parking was pretty standard city vibes—there were plenty of street spots marked, but the ones right in front were taken. No big deal though, because all three of us found parking within a block or so.
First Impressions: A Whole Vibe
Let’s get into it.
I arrived and was greeted by a lovely young lady at the front. Quick heads up—they don’t seat you until your full party arrives, which honestly wasn’t a big deal at all. I was directed to the bar while I waited, and the bartender got me taken care of right away.
While I waited, I really got to soak in the ambiance… and BABY, it was giving texture!
From the white brick walls to the black-and-white graffiti wall toward the back—it was visually stunning. Right when you walk in, there’s this floral wallpaper with a black background and a pink neon sign (my favorite color 😌), and since I love flowers, I was immediately sold.
The tray ceiling lighting tied everything together so nicely, but my favorite favorite FAVORITE part? The bar. The lighting above it is just chef’s kiss—fun, warm, and eye-catching. The mix of wood and stone (not sure if it was quartz or marble, but either way…) gave it this elevated feel. The whole space was comfortable yet edgy, which is not easy to pull off.
And the music? FIRE. Trendy, vibey, not too loud, not too low—just right.
Service That Truly Stands Out
Now let’s talk about the people, because staff can make or break an experience—and here, they absolutely made it.
Everyone was incredibly sweet, from the hostess to the entire staff. But what really stood out was the presence of the owners, Justin Coleman and Kelvin Alexander.
They were walking around, checking in on guests, socializing, and just bringing amazing energy. They even stopped by to chat with me and my girls, and they were so down-to-earth and cool. It honestly felt like we were catching up with old friends.
That kind of interaction adds something special—you feel seen and appreciated, not just like another table.

The Main Event: Food & Drinks
Okay, now let’s get into what everyone really cares about—the food and drinks.
We started with two rounds of mimosas, and they were refreshing and delicious. No complaints there!
Now for the FOOD… and listen, we did not come to play. We ordered a whole spread to share:
Bacon Caramel French Toast
Bacon Burnt Ends
Loaded Grits
Biscuits with Strawberry Sauce & Cream Cheese
Rosemary Parmesan Hash Browns
Brussels Scramble
Lemon Blueberry French Toast
Bake’N Bacon runs a free-flow kitchen, so dishes come out as they’re ready. Everything came out pretty quickly, back-to-back. The only item that took a little longer was the bacon burnt ends—but let me tell you… they were WORTH IT. Tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection.
By the time everything hit the table, it looked like Thanksgiving brunch edition 😂 Food everywhere!
And yes… we definitely had leftovers.
Final Thoughts: 10/10, No Notes
Overall, the food? 10/10.
The ambiance? Stunning.
The service? Top-tier.
Before we left, Justin (CEO) told us we have to come back for happy hour and dinner—and according to him, dinner gives “grown and sexy” vibes 👀. You already know I’m planning my return because apparently the dinner menu is a whole different experience.
Stay tuned… because I will absolutely be back for round two.
