A Visit to The Biscuit Lady: Fresh Biscuits Worth the Hype

A Perfect Way To Start The Day . . .

When I arrived at The Biscuit Lady in Plymouth Meeting, the place was packed—always a good sign. I quickly learned why. Their biscuits are made fresh daily, which instantly raised my expectations and excitement to order.

I tried a few items from the menu, starting with “The Pattie,” a classic sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich served on a warm, freshly baked biscuit. I also ordered a plain biscuit to enjoy later and a s’mores doughnut for a sweet treat to round out the day.

The Patty sandwich did not disappoint. The biscuit was soft, fluffy, and perfectly moist. The cheese melted seamlessly over the sausage and egg, and the egg itself was cooked just right—not dry, not runny. My only note would be that I would have loved a bit more salt and pepper for extra flavor, but overall, it was still a very satisfying breakfast.

Later in the day, in between deep cleaning sessions, I enjoyed the plain biscuit with strawberry jelly I had at home—and it still tasted incredibly fresh. It made for the perfect quick snack and confirmed just how good their biscuits are on their own.

After dinner, I finally indulged in the s’mores doughnut. It was a sugared doughnut topped with lightly torched marshmallow fluff and finished with a drizzle of chocolate. Sweet, nostalgic, and indulgent without being overwhelming.

Overall, the food at The Biscuit Lady was delicious, thoughtfully prepared, and worth the visit. I’ll definitely be returning—and next time, I may grab an extra biscuit or two to take home.
